Nutritional tips to find a balance in your eating habits

Nutritional advice from Withsara founder

Finding balance

Aiming to eat 100% healthily all the time is not realistic for most people. It is all about finding a balance in your eating habits. My goal is to eat 80/20, where 80% of the time I eat healthily and then I allow myself other kinds 20% of the time. You can always adjust that percentage.

My nutritional principles

  1. A plant-based diet, vegetables, legumes, healthy fats, & whole grains. If you eat meat buy organic, grass-fed meat.

  2. Drink a lot of water and limit my coffee intake

  3. Cooking from scratch with few ingredients to keep it simple and fresh

  4. Try to avoid processed food and vegetable oils as much as possible

What a typical day looks like for me

No day is the same when it comes to my food intake, it depends on my schedule and time. We are all different so my diet might look different from yours. But I hope this might give you some inspiration.

Breakfast: A bowl of Greek yogurt with muesli, organic peanut butter, and fruits or a chia pudding with the same topping. Sometimes I have eggs and avocado. A cup of coffee on the site.

Lunch:  If I am out and about I grab a fresh salad or a wrap at nearby restaurants. Usually filled with greens, a protein source, avocado, and rice/pasta.

Midday Snack:  A piece of fruit or nuts. A green smoothie if I am out and about.

Dinner: We eat a lot of cooked vegetables with olive oil and beans and mix them with whole wheat pasta, quinoa, or bulgur.

After giving birth to my two beautiful daughters, I have had to build up my body twice after my pregnancies. With my experience, I have created a workout that is a great combination of low impact, functional movement, pilates, barre, and yoga. It builds up deep core strength, creates sustainable and lasting change, relieves physical tension and mental stress, and gives you an overall healthier and happier body.
