Starting a new month on a Monday is unique and very ideal to be clear with goal setting for the month and upcoming weeks.

Do something today that you have been meaning to do for a while. It does not have to be something big, it can simply just be that you take your vitamins, drink 2 bottles of water or sit down for 5 minutes to meditate. Whatever it is, pick one and do it today. Do it again tomorrow and then again the day after.  Be very consistent with this action and let it finally be a part of your daily life. 

Commit

If you haven’t started already, today is the perfect day to start following the Weekly Schedule I put out for you on Withsara.  Commit to your body and let it move every day.  Let it be a priority in your day on your journey towards a healthier and stronger body. By committing to movement daily it will affect so many other aspects of your life.  You will boost your energy, release tension, take your mind off stressful things, increase your focus, feel and be fitter and healthier. 

Improved diet

Use the upcoming days to write down what you would like to improve in your diet, what you would like to eat more of, and what you would like to eat less of.  Set down an action plan on how you can increase the good stuff on your plate.  Go to the grocery store with that in mind, buy things that you want to have in the fridge, and don’t buy food that you don’t want to consume and are too tempting. What I always have in the fridge and cupboard are the following:

  • Banana and apples

  • Organic, sugar-free peanut butter

  • Cashew nuts and walnuts

  • Spinach, tomatoes, avocado

  • Whole wheat wraps

  • Good olive oil

  • Legumes

  • Hummus

Enjoy your healthy journey and make small but important changes that will lead to a sustainable healthy lifestyle.
